Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Representative will assist in ensuring the company receives timely and accurate payment for goods and services provided to clients. This role supports the accounting team through invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliation, and customer communication.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Create invoices according to company practices and submit invoices to customers.
- Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, and mailing attention updates.
- Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections.
- Identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files and contacting account holders to request payment.
- Create reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
- Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff.
- Collaborate with the Collections Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis (at least bimonthly).
- Assist in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
- Assist the Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
- Copy, file, and retrieve accounts receivable materials as needed.
- Relay changes of information to appropriate employees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related accounting software programs.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers and copiers.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of related accounts receivable or accounting experience required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
