What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Warehouse position at Allstone Corporation?
Driver needed for tile and stone company located in Union, NJ. Commercial and residential deliveries with a lift gate.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to;
Unloading & Loading Trucks:
- Unloading & Loading pallets & boxes, either manually or with the assistance of a hand truck, pallet jack.
- Heavy lifting up to 100lbs.
Delivering Inventory:
- Locate delivery destinations on maps or on GPS
- Drive the truck with material to the designated location(s)
- Delivery within NJ, NY & CT areas
Driving Safely:
- Follow all local, state, and federal rules governing road and highway traffic (speed limits, parking, etc.)
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the Warehouse Manager
- Ability to speak & read in English, analyze and interpret shipping manifests
- Must have a clean driving record and pass DOT Physical Exam before starting.
- Valid NJ driver's license (CDL optional)
Necessary Knowledge, Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze and comprehend map, understand written driving directions
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations regarding road and highway use
- Skill to operate a 26' box truck
- Ability to work safely
- Ability to interact with customers
- Ability to maintain a good attitude
Physical Demands:
- Heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs) is required at all times
- Sitting for long periods (while driving)
- Pushing and/or pulling heavy material and equipment
- Exposure to cold and heat in winter and summer months
Warehouse Duties:
- Experience with forklift & pallet jack
- Pulling and wrapping orders (as needed)
- Maintaining Building (as needed)
- Other various warehouse duties as needed
Other:
Must be available to work various hours when needed
