SUMMARY
As an Electronics Test Specialist, you will be integral to ensuring the quality and functionality of electronic products. Reporting to the engineering team, your role involves utilizing core skills such as PCB testing, debugging, and quality inspection. You will employ premium skills in surface mount technology and quality assurance to uphold industry standards. Your mechanical knowledge and proficiency with precision measuring instruments will aid in data collection and analysis. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, perform, and analyze experiments/tests following established product test procedures, recording results accurately.
- Diagnose and repair faults in electronic systems and equipment down to the PWA/component level.
- Read and interpret electronic schematics, wire diagrams, block diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals to perform repairs.
- Operate test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators for analysis and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits down to the component level.
- Provide guidance and training to junior technicians on procedures, tools, and inspection techniques.
- Ensure proper use of materials, equipment, and tools to maximize efficiency.
- Escalate complex technical issues to Supervisor as needed.
- Support additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent, plus 5 years of electronics testing experience (military/technical school training a plus).
- Proficiency in electronics theory (Ohm’s Law, op-amp circuits, AC/DC converters).
- Hands-on experience with test equipment: oscilloscopes, voltmeters, function generators, ATE, ICD 2/3/4, CPLD, J-link, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers.
- Knowledge of computer applications relevant to the field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing/repairing complex issues.
- Ability to test, troubleshoot, and repair RF systems down to component level.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and work with high-pressure, high-voltage, high-energy, cryogenic, or radioactive systems.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
