Unarmed Security Officer - Graveyard Shift

Hours: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM

Position Overview

Allstate Security Services is currently seeking professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officers for an overnight graveyard position in San Diego, CA. Officers assigned to this position will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing professional support to onsite staff, residents, visitors, and property personnel throughout the shift.

This position requires strong observational skills, professionalism, excellent communication, and the ability to remain alert and proactive during overnight operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled interior and exterior patrols of the property.
• Assist onsite staff with security-related concerns and incidents.
• Monitor property activity and report suspicious behavior or safety hazards.
• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility.
• Document incidents, disturbances, maintenance concerns, and daily activity through detailed reports.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, disturbances, and service requests.
• Ensure all access points, gates, doors, and common areas remain secure.
• Provide professional customer service to residents, guests, staff, and visitors.
• De-escalate conflicts and handle situations calmly and professionally.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and onsite management teams.
• Follow all post orders, company policies, and client procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid California Guard Card required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous security experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
• Professional appearance and demeanor required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in residential, hospitality, or supportive housing environments.
• Strong customer service background.
• Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and incident response procedures.
