What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver - Utility Cable Truck & Roll-Off Truck position at Allstate Sales Group Inc?
ASG is seeking a reliable and experienced or new CDL Driver to operate both utility cable trucks and roll-off trucks in support of telecom and utility construction projects. This role plays a key part in the safe and timely removal and transportation of cable, materials, and debris to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a solid work ethic, and experience in construction or utility environments.

What you’ll do: (Including, but not limited to):
- Safely operate CDL trucks including cable reel trucks and roll-off containers.
- Load, secure, and transport utility scrap cable.
- Deliver dumpster containers to job sites and drop-off locations.
- Perform routine pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, field crews, and dispatch.
- Assist with loading and unloading as needed using appropriate equipment.
- Adhere to DOT regulations and all company safety policies.
- Ensure company equipment and all materials are up-to-date and safety compliant.
- Collect and dispose of any scraps, excess materials, and waste; clean and maintain equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the equipment and machinery, set up equipment daily and specifically for each project.
- Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities of this job classification.
What you’ll need:
General
- Valid Commercial Drivers License with clean driving record.
- Experience with roll-off or utility trucks preferred.
- We welcome new drivers with valid CDL license and will provide training.
- Familiarity with utility or telecom construction is a plus.
- Ability to operate winches, reels, and related cable equipment safely.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, dependable, and safety-oriented.

Job Type:
Full-Time – Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Your Working Environment:
- Working outdoors in the elements year-round.
Your Physical Requirements:
Physical movements such as climbing, lifting, and moving materials up to 100lbs. Ability to stand, sit, or be in other physically demanding positions for extended periods.
