About the Role

Tracy Zhang’s Allstate agency is hiring a Salesperson to help grow the agency through new business, referrals, customer follow-up, and policy sales.

This role can be a fit for people at different stages of their sales career — whether you already have insurance experience, come from another customer-facing sales role, or are looking to build a long-term career in insurance sales. What matters most is that you are motivated, coachable, comfortable talking to customers, and willing to build a pipeline over time.

This role rewards people who create their own momentum. You will have access to inbound leads, existing customers, and agency opportunities, but you will not be successful by waiting for business to come to you. The expectation is that you make calls, follow up relentlessly, ask for referrals, re-engage old opportunities, and build a pipeline through consistent daily activity.

Over time, you will build relationships with customers who can become long-term clients and referral sources.

You will have the support of an established agency, the backing of the Allstate brand, and access to training, systems, and customer opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Entrepreneurial attitude and interest in building your own customer pipeline.
  • Sales-minded, motivated, and comfortable being measured by results.
  • Located in California (open to remote/hybrid arrangements).
  • Willingness to make calls, follow up, and ask for the sale.
  • Organized, reliable, and consistent with daily activity.
  • Coachable and willing to learn insurance products, quoting systems, and sales processes.
  • Must be willing to obtain required insurance license if not already licensed.
  • If you are hungry, coachable, and want a sales role where your effort can directly impact your income, this could be a strong fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Work toward monthly sales goals and production targets.
  • Sell auto, home, renters, and other eligible insurance products.
  • Respond quickly to inbound calls, quote requests, website leads, and referrals.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospects, follow-ups, and customer opportunities.
  • Contact existing customers for policy reviews, cross-sell opportunities, and referrals.

Compensation

  • Base pay: $20–$30/hour
  • Commission: 3%–10%, depending on product, production, and experience
  • Bonus opportunity: Available based on performance
  • Final compensation depends on licensing, experience, and sales performance.

Pay: $50,627.20 - $60,970.39 per year
