The Corporate Strategy group identifies and prioritizes growth opportunities, develops enterprise and business strategies, and coordinates strategy execution and alignment across the Allstate Corporation's portfolio of businesses. The Corporate Strategy Lead Consultant is responsible for supporting the development of strategy and driving necessary changes in the organization. Assists in executing projects that analyze strategic alternatives in depth so that opportunities, short-and-long term financial implications, risks, and opportunities are well understood. Works across multiple functions and businesses to identify issues and assess financial and organizational impact. Assists in making recommendations and supporting decision making to ensure alignment with the overall corporate strategy. Provides insights and perspective on key consumer, market, technology, and competitive trends that will impact current and future strategies.
This position is a hybrid role, meaning your schedule may consist of time in an office setting and time working remotely from your home. The hybrid model is intended to provide greater flexibility - and will mean something different to each team, job and employee. Office presence is driven by the nature of the work and team needs. You'll work from home for the remainder of the time you're not in the office. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.
- Assist in the discovery, solution development, and recommendation design for key strategic topics including market and competitive analyses
- Develop general strategy efforts for various internal stakeholders on a variety of projects and initiatives with a focus on analytical, process, and content support
- Participate in the creation of senior management and Board communication presentations enabling effective communication of related strategies
- Support ongoing business intelligence, competitive tracking and best practice efforts through fact-based analyses and competitive assessments
- Support central portions of projects, identifying key issues, and selecting appropriate analyses to solve problems
- Communicate hypotheses, proposed analysis, and findings
- Facilitate and manage work of team members
- Facilitate communication between internal groups to achieve internal alignment
- Develop relationships with third parties including research and consulting firms
- Lead financial modeling and analysis, including forecasting and valuation
- 5 years of strategy/strategic planning/consulting experience gained through experience with major investment bank, a strategy consulting firm, corporate strategy/planning team and/or financial analysis team
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- Possesses an operating level of knowledge of Allstate products and competition in various markets
- Strong strategic and decision-making framework capabilities including hypothesis design, complex issue identification, problem solving approaches, and decision frameworks
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills required, including modeling skills and the ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful conclusions and recommendations
- Ability to structure documents to effectively communicate with senior management and drive alignment and decision making
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities given aggressive timelines; comfortable performing in a fast paced, dynamic and ambiguous business environment
- Solutions-focused and resourceful problem solver who quickly adapts to changing environments and enjoys working with ambiguity
- Strong project management skills including developing work plans, estimating and managing resources, time and budget
- Strong communication skills including written and oral
- Possesses working knowledge of processes, policies, and procedures relevant to the industry
- Ability to ensure compliance with current industry standards/environment that impact decisions and indicates requirements
Compensation offered for this role is$82,000 - $116,000 per yearand is based on experience and qualifications.
