The Org and Work
We're a small but mighty team servicing the entirety of AIP, making this a unique role with a hand in everything that is produced.
You must be able to listen to technical and non-technical people, do your own secondary research and connect the dots to create compelling copy that draws the target audience to action. Here, you'll live and breathe all things identity and digital protection with your pulse on what's happening around the world to craft fresh and compelling narratives daily. Collaboration is a fundamental part of this role at AIP where you'll work to research, frame, write, and refine a variety of omni-channel marketing content.
Some days, you'll be writing great short form copy and striking headlines, that gets people energized in a few, mighty words. Other days, crafting longer narratives educating a variety of audiences on all things about AIP's product.

You understand how to write successful A/B copy and can quickly pivot based on performance wins and learns.
You're able to pick up a brand's voice and stay committed to learning and understanding the way the tone and voice are expressed across the brand.
You don't shy away from asking questions, learning new things, and sharing your ideas.
You've worked in high-paced, iterative creative environments before and have experience writing 100 lines in a couple days, gleaning feedback and creating a fresh batch for review in a week's time.
Essential Functions
  • Beyond leading copy and content writers to success, you'll partner with the Creative Director in evaluating creative team performance and guiding improvements.
  • Copyediting/proofreading of materials produced by you and others. You will keep a broad view of all AIP copy and jump in frequently for content reviews.
  • Write, edit, repeat. From short form content like attention grabbing headlines, to longer narratives about our product that engage and educate our audiences.
  • Concept and develop B2B and D2C messaging for new product upgrades, websites, emails, print, video, and events.
  • Partner with our marketing and sales teams to understand what's working and what's not. Building your future messaging from there.
  • Meet regularly with cross-functional teams in multiple departments-from our in-house legal team to our Allstate partners alike.
  • Find the most compelling insights in our product and core identity that will change consumer and client perception and behavior.
  • Look to improve AIP's messaging across all channels and strategize on how to implement clear messaging into new channels.
  • Consistent independent research on competitors, markets, products, and customers/prospects, etc. to differentiate from their positions to make AIP stand out in the marketplace.

Required Education, Skills, and Experiences
  • High School Diploma/GED mandatory
  • 8 years of relevant copywriting experience in SEO principles, B2C, D2C, B2B, ads, platform marketing, including video, social, longform, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing, brand, and design principles and development.
  • Experience leading and managing creative teams.
  • Strong concept and strategy development skills.
  • You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills that sells the creative work to internal and external stakeholders alike.
  • An impressively strong creative mind and the ability to make critical decisions on your own.
  • Strong technical skills in Mac, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Portfolio: Share anything that conveys the way you think, approach and lead assignments, even if it was never produced
  • In-depth knowledge of social media and touch-points
  • Experience producing content for Integrated/multichannel campaigns
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects and manage competing priorities and tight deadlines

Preferred Education, Skills, and Experiences
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Experience working for software products or Technology focused companies
  • Prior experiences writing content for legal, Compliance and or regulated products
  • Agency experience

Work Environment & Physical Demands
AIP is a remote-first company, however our US based roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location. This role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually from your US based home office. We primarily collaborate with our US colleagues through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. In this role, you will have to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery, as necessary. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
