Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated weekend CDL Instructor for an on-site role at our Seymour and/or Meriden, CT locations. The CDL Instructor will be responsible for providing hands-on training to new drivers. This includes assisting students with CDL curriculum comprehension, ensuring effective behind-the-wheel training, assessing driver performance, and preparing students for their CDL exams. The role requires maintaining safety standards while fostering a supportive learning environment for students entering the trucking industry.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Strong instructional and communication skills to guide students effectively
- Minimum 2 years verifiable professional truck driving experience and knowledge of industry safety standards
- Ability to conduct behind-the-wheel training sessions
- Strong commitment to student success and patience in a teaching environment
- Familiarity with state and federal CDL regulations
- Previous teaching or training experience in the trucking industry is a plus
