Allstar Drumming is Allstar Therapies branded version of cardio drumming and is a moderate to intense exercise class that involves drumming on a Physioball while moving to music. This exercise is unique in nature as it offers aerobic, coordination, and balance training, all in one. This FUN and FANTASTIC exercise is sought after in our current communities.
Allstar Therapies is seeking a casual/part-time Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor to lead and instruct our community-based group exercises including Allstar Drumming. We have an IMMEDIATE need for an individual to lead and instruct our group exercise classes within our surrounding community including senior centers, senior apartment complexes, personal care homes, and assisted living facilities. This individual should be comfortable leading group exercise classes in a safe, energetic, and high-quality manner.
Qualifications:Required/Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a health related field from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Fitness Professional preferred
- Personal Training or Group Exercise Certification (NSCA, NASM, ACSM) Recommended
Certificates, License, Registrations:
- Valid driver’s license
- Licensed to practice in the state, if applicable
- Personal Training or Group Exercise Certification
- Certification in CPR
Degree of Travel: NA
Language Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with clients, caregivers, family members, and medical professionals.
Degree of Disruption to Routine: It is to be expected that there will be moderate disruption to a daily routine. Although schedules are set accordingly on several occasions’ adaptations and other arrangements may be needed to service the patient and the contract for superior customer service and contract regulations.
Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Personally Instruct all existing community-based group exercise classes including Silver Sneakers, Allstar Drumming, and ENERGIZE classes
- Choreograph songs and programming for Allstar Drumming.
- Schedule and staff all community-based group exercise classes and individualized personal training sessions.
- Design and implement new fitness classes, ideas, & events.
- Follows all HIPAA Guidelines and practices confidentiality and respect for patient’s rights.
- Follows universal precautions to limit risk and exposure.
- Regularly provides updates regarding changes in items needed for employment including annual TB test, CPR card, etc.
- Follows all guidelines set forth by facility and/or agency Policy and Procedure manual.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company.
