Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Housekeeping Inspector to help uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction at Fairfield by Marriott.
This is a hybrid leadership role: you will serve as the department’s Inspector on the Housekeeping Manager’s days off (2 days/week) and work as a Room Attendant (3 days/week)—leading by example, setting the standard, and helping develop the team.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, leads through action, and is ready to grow into a leadership role within hospitality.
DutiesInspection & Leadership (2 Days/Week)
- Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards
- Approve rooms for guest readiness and ensure all quality expectations are met
- Identify, correct, and communicate cleanliness or maintenance issues in real time
- Support daily housekeeping operations in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and brand policies
Room Attendant / Standard Setting (3 Days/Week)
- Clean and service guest rooms to brand-standard quality and productivity expectations
- Set a clear example of efficiency, attention to detail, and consistency for the team
- Assist team members when needed to maintain workflow and productivity
Training & Development
- Assist with training new and existing team members on cleaning procedures and standards
- Support houseperson training and follow-through to ensure proper execution of responsibilities
- Reinforce departmental policies, procedures, and accountability standards
- Help ensure completion of required virtual and on-the-job training programs
- Provide feedback to team members and leadership to continuously improve performance
Administrative & Communication
- Maintain inspection reports and communicate issues to housekeeping and maintenance teams
- Collaborate with front desk and leadership to ensure guest readiness and satisfaction
- Participate in ongoing policy review and process improvement
Experience
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience required
- Experience in a lead, inspector, or supervisory role preferred
- Strong knowledge of:
- Hotel cleaning standards and procedures
- Cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Time management and productivity expectations
- Experience with training or mentoring team members is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Marriott or branded hotel standards preferred

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
