Overview:

We’re looking for a high-energy, hands-on sales associate to lead day-to-day marketplace initiatives for a high-profile company growth driver. You will lead live shopping events, showcase products, engage with the audience, and facilitate real-time sales. Your primary goal is to create an entertaining and informative environment that encourages viewer participation and drives sales.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and execute strategic plans to grow viewership, engagement, and sales during Whatnot Live shows, using data insights and market trends to optimize performance
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and customer demands to inform product selection and merchandising strategies
• Lead the strategic planning and execution of launches on additional auction platforms, identifying growth opportunities, evaluating platform fit, and creating go-to-market roadmaps to drive brand visibility and revenue

Live Event Preparation:

• Select and organize product assortments for live shows, aligning with audience preferences and market trends to drive engagement and sales
• Coordinate with inventory teams to ensure product availability, timely delivery, and accurate stock levels for live events
• Quality Checking of show items prior to execution of the show

Live Event Hosting:

• Present products enthusiastically and informatively during live sessions
• Maintain a lively and engaging atmosphere to retain viewer interest
• Manage the flow of the event, including transitions between products and segments
• Support brand positioning as a knowledgeable source for numismatic products
• Provide operational and customer support to fellow hosts during live broadcasts, helping ensure seamless execution and an engaging customer experience

Audience Interaction:

• Respond to viewer comments and questions in real time to foster engagement
• Encourage audience participation through polls, Q&A sessions, and interactive segments
• Build a community by acknowledging regular viewers and creating a welcoming environment

Product Knowledge & Promotion:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the products being showcased
• Highlight key features to inform purchasing decisions
• Collaborate with sellers to gather product information and promotional strategies

Technical Coordination:

• Work with production teams to ensure high-quality audio and video streaming
• Assist in setting up the livestream environment, including lighting, camera angles, and product displays
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues during live sessions to minimize disruptions

Post-Event Activities:

• Reporting of results and analyze viewer engagement metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement
• Gather feedback from viewers and sellers to refine future live events
• Maintain records of product sales and viewer interactions for reporting purposes

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 years of experience in merchandising, product strategy, or related roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred)
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and online sales techniques
• Demonstrates strong technical proficiency across Microsoft Office and business software, as well as live streaming, audio/video production, and broadcast technology
• Strong analytical skills and proficient working with spreadsheets and performance data
• Self-starter who’s comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
• Strong knowledge and exceptionally proficient in using Microsoft Office, especially excel
• Experience with numismatics is strongly preferred; additional training available as required
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, to accommodate live event schedules
• Working knowledge of RedBook, BlueBook and Greysheets both online and in-publication

• Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills – with demonstrated ability to multi-task.
• In-depth understanding of web technology, e-commerce, studies and trends.
• Ability to tolerate ambiguity and interruptions
• Posses a professional and courteous voice/excellent diction in grammar skills
• 20/20 corrected vision with intact color discrimination (basic in shades of color)
• Proficient in using the AS400, will train as applicable

Pay: $20.86 per hour
