The Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic oversight and operational leadership for the company’s financial department, financial health, administrative functions, and long-term growth initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring fiscal integrity, driving process improvements, and fostering collaboration across multiple departments to support the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and implement financial and administrative strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
o Advise the CEO and executive team on financial planning, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Department Oversight:
o Finance: Ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with applicable regulations.
o Grants and Contracts: Oversee grant administration, contract management, and compliance with funding requirements.
o Strategic Initiatives: Lead cross-functional projects that advance organizational priorities and innovation.
o Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of operations.
• Governance and Compliance:
o Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
o Prepare reports and presentations for the Board of Directors and stakeholders.
• Team Leadership:
o Build and mentor a high-performing team across all managed departments.
o Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
Education & Experience:
• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance and administration, preferably in a complex organization. Preferred experience in manufacturing and higher education backgrounds.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, and operational leadership.
• Strong knowledge of grants management, fundraising principles, and process improvement methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
