Regional Sales Manager

Regional Sales Manager - Medical Gas and Equipment - Base Salary to 120k/year - Syracuse, NY

• Our client is a well-established manufacturer of technical mechanical and building products serving the commercial construction and healthcare markets. The company provides engineered product solutions used in mechanical systems, healthcare facilities, hospitals, and other commercial applications.
• The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for growing business throughout the Northeast U.S. territory by developing relationships with commercial mechanical contractors and other key customers. This individual will drive new business development, contractor sales, specification opportunities, and territory growth for technical mechanical products, including solutions used in medical gas, piping, plumbing, HVAC, and healthcare infrastructure applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow sales throughout the Northeast U.S. territory, with a strong focus on commercial mechanical contractors, MEP contractors, and other construction customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while expanding existing customer and account relationships.
• Develop relationships with contractors, engineers, project managers, estimators, and other construction decision-makers.
• Promote technical and engineered mechanical product solutions based on customer applications, project requirements, specifications, and technical needs.
• Conduct customer meetings, product presentations, jobsite visits, and account follow-up throughout the territory.
• Travel 50% throughout the Northeast U.S.
• Manage sales opportunities from prospecting and account development through closing, with support from the internal estimating team for quotations.
• Work with internal sales, technical, estimating, and customer service teams throughout the sales process.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide updates on opportunities, customer activity, account development, and territory growth.
• Monitor competitive activity and market trends to identify additional sales opportunities throughout the territory.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of outside sales experience within commercial construction, HVAC, mechanical systems, plumbing, hydronics, piping, building products, or a related technical industry.
• Proven experience selling directly to and developing relationships with commercial mechanical contractors.
• Existing relationships within the territory and experience with the local commercial construction market.
• Demonstrated experience developing new business while growing and managing existing customer relationships.
• Experience selling technical or engineered products and working with customer applications and project requirements.
• Experience with prospecting, account development, territory development, presentations, negotiations, and closing sales.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly (50%) throughout the assigned territory.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 90k - 120k/year range
