Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and watering to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Identify different plant species and assist with planting, mulching, fertilizing, and pest management to promote healthy growth
- Perform hardscape tasks such as installing or repairing pathways, patios, or retaining walls as needed
- Follow all safety protocols during outdoor work to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members
- Support tree trimming activities and manage landscape debris removal to maintain a clean and attractive site
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including irrigation schedules, pesticide applications, and maintenance logs
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience or background in grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscape equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, gardening, pruning, and plant identification
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and other landscaping equipment safely
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and pesticide management practices is a plus
- Strong attention to safety protocol adherence at all times during outdoor activities
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, bending, and working in various weather conditions
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions accurately
