Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching imperfections using hand tools and power tools.
• Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes with brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, or other equipment to achieve smooth, durable coatings.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and ensure accurate application of paint and finishes according to design plans.
• Perform specialized painting tasks including drywall plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry work, and restoration projects.
• Operate construction equipment such as scaffolding, ladders, scaffolding towers, and lift platforms safely while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
• Execute renovation projects involving demolition, framing, carpentry (including fixture installation and window/door trim), masonry repairs, and concrete finishing.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and communicate progress clearly with project managers to meet deadlines efficiently.

Experience

• Proven experience in residential painting as well as commercial or industrial painting environments with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Skilled in construction estimating processes to accurately assess material needs and project timelines.
• Knowledge of color theory to advise clients on color selection and achieve desired aesthetic effects.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools (brushes, scrapers), power tools (airless sprayers, drills), welding equipment (if applicable), and scaffolding setup.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for precise project execution across various construction disciplines.
• Background in construction site work including framing carpentry, plastering, stucco application, masonry techniques, restoration work, and renovation projects.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations accurately.
• Additional handyman skills such as fixture installation or maintenance work are a plus for versatile project support.
