What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Swiss Machinist position at Alloy Precision Technologies?
We are looking for a CNC Machinist to set-up and Operate CNC Citizen Swiss machines on 1st and 2nd shift (2nd works four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday), with overtime opportunities on Friday or Saturday. There is a 10% premium added to the hourly rate for working 2nd shift.
- Must be self-sufficient with operating Citizen Swiss machines, L32, L20 (Mitsubishi controls)
- Have basic machining practices and principles
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to use inspection equipment, (mics, calipers, height gage etc.)
- Make tool offsets
- Set longitude and diameters
- Capable of making tool changes (understanding of insert nomenclature)
- Changeover bar feed
- Program editing and set-ups a plus
- Ability to follow documentation practices
