What You’ll Do
As a Metal Casting Operator, you’ll help produce high-quality metal castings using induction furnaces and continuous casting equipment. You’ll work side-by-side with skilled teammates to keep production running safely and efficiently.
- Operate and monitor furnaces and casting equipment
- Adjust processes to maintain product quality and performance
- Clean and maintain molds, furnaces, and casting equipment
- Inspect molds and dies to ensure they meet quality standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, and saws
- Monitor furnace temperatures and respond to variations
- Move materials using cranes and forklifts
- Maintain accurate production records in routers and ERP systems
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow and promote a strong safety culture
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience operating heavy machinery in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform basic maintenance and minor repairs
- Attention to detail and accurate data recording
- Self-motivated, organized, and dependable
- Straightforward communicator and team player
- Comfortable working in high-temperature environments
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Able to obtain respirator clearance
