What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Brake Operator position at Alloy Fabricators of New England, Inc.?
Metal products job shop needs a forming specialist to run press brakes and plate bending rolls. Looking for a candidate with experience setting up and running press brake jobs. A successful candidate has the following qualifications:
Accurate measuring to the nearest 1/32”. Accurate measuring of angles to 1 degree.
Strong shop math skills
Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D mechanical drawings
Experience utilizing available tooling to form correct bend radii and shapes including formed angles, channels, small diameter cylinders
Knowledge to safely run heavy-duty brakes
Knowledge of unitized tooling for multi-hole-punched parts
Using plate bending rolls to roll arc sections and cylinders
Attention to detail
Comfortable working with 16 gauge sheet up to 1” thick plate in carbon steel, stainless steel, and nickel plate.
