Purpose and Objective
The Technician role is a vital position, responsible for executing high-quality repairs and services that directly align with the sales team's recommendations. Beyond performing these essential tasks, the Technician also plays a crucial role in vehicle inspections, identifying potential repairs and services that the sales team can offer to customers. This collaborative approach ensures a seamless customer experience, from diagnosis to service completion.
Key Responsibilities
Accurate Service and Repair Completion: Technicians are expected to bring expertise and precision to every service and repair. Each job must be completed with excellence, integrity, and attention to detail, including following 1-10-100 standards for all vehicles. This ensures that all repairs meet our high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Partnership with Office Staff: Technicians work closely with the sales team to meet company sales goals with integrity. Through thorough vehicle inspections, technicians identify additional needed repairs and services. Technicians may also work directly with customers, explaining the condition of their vehicle and answering any questions regarding necessary repairs or services.
Work Efficiency and Availability: Technicians should be able to flag 40 hours per week, ensuring that workloads are managed efficiently to meet the demands of the shop and contribute to the team's success.
Quality Control and Support: Technicians are responsible for conducting quality control on the work performed by fellow team members and, when necessary, performing vehicle cleaning tasks in the absence of a General Service Technician. This includes reviewing Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and translating them into customer needs, ensuring all service recommendations are accurately identified and communicated.
Vehicle Assessment and Communication: Technicians will honestly assess vehicles, providing detailed recommendations for necessary repairs and manufacturer’s maintenance. Technicians must address any customer concerns, perform digital courtesy inspections accurately, and communicate clearly with service staff and customers when needed.
Professionalism and Shop Maintenance: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environment is critical. Technicians are expected to uphold professionalism in all interactions, keep the shop in working order, and be proficient with manufacturer-level diagnostic tools and systems.
Regulatory Compliance: Technicians will test vehicles to meet federal and state requirements, ensuring compliance with engine, safety, and combustion control standards. This includes verifying vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems as necessary.
Any other duties as needed to drive to the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the value of this organization.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive service or customer service roles, with knowledge of maintenance and repair services.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and sales skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Skilled in basic computer programs and automotive service software with the ability to learn new systems.
- Clear communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proven leadership and experience managing teams of various sizes.
- A strong focus on customer relations, sales, and operational excellence.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and insurability under the store's policy.
- Physically capable of performing tasks that involve grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting (including items over 50 pounds), bending, and reaching overhead.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours, is required.
- Must be able to maintain a fast-paced work rhythm for extended durations
