The Production Labeling & Packaging Technician (PLPT) has the responsibility and authority to evaluate and disposition all products. PLPT is tasked with verifying that the physical and electronic characteristics of the products meet the AlloSource release criteria. The PLPT completes all required manufacturing steps related to the labeling and packaging of products to be released to Distribution. Frequent communication with multiple departments is an integral part of the job.

Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00am to 4:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Labeling
- Perform visual inspection of product per the applicable specifications and regulatory requirements and unprocessed donor tissues to ensure they meet all AlloSource criteria for multiple product lines.
- Conducts quality control inspections of all packaged products ready for distribution.
- Disposition products for labeling, rework, or discard across multiple product lines based on requirements outlined in SOPs, WIs, and Specs.
- Collaborate and consult with Engineering to evaluate and disposition non-conformance products and process improvements.
- Perform printing, labeling and final packaging activities as assigned per appropriate procedures with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Utilize labeling software to generate product labels.
- Utilize ERP system to issue labeling materials to labeling jobs.
- Maintain proper inventory in the labeling area to ensure no disruption of labeling activities.
- Operate labeling and sealing equipment and create work orders or help desk tickets when equipment needs repair.
- Maintain a clean and functioning work area.
- Execute inventory movement transactions with materials and tissues to assure accurate inventory levels and counts which includes appropriate use of bins, warehousing, storage conditions based on inventory type and status.
- Participate in projects impacting production, inventory or product evaluation and maintain consistent cross-functional communication with all departments, shifts and management.
- Perform cycle counts for products in shared bins and materials in the Labeling Material Warehouse. Reconcile all lots.
- Assist Operations Throughput Manager in collection of data, analysis of data, and report development.
- Perform root cause and nonconformance investigation activities as determined by team supervisor.
- Act as subject matter expert in particular area as determined by Supervisor and assist with training when needed.
- Coordinates decisions for corrections and elevates to Supervisor as necessary.
- Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
- May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year labeling/packaging experience or 2 years’ experience in an FDA or a medical regulated industry.
- Ability to communicate in English proficiently (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension)
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Experience:
- AATB Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a science related field
- Experience using barcode scanners
- Previous work experience navigating ERP software
- Previous experience working with donor tissues, device, cell-based products
