The Workday Analyst serves as a key member of the Workday Systems team, responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Workday across the organization. While supporting the full Workday ecosystem, this role will act as the primary resource for Workday Financials (FINS) and Inventory modules — ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant financial and supply chain processes. The analyst reports to the Workday Systems Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: Configure, maintain, and support Workday Financials modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Spend Management, and Asset Management. Lead configuration and process optimization for Workday Inventory Management, ensuring accurate tracking, valuation, and reporting of inventory across locations. Participate in Workday updates and new feature adoption, evaluating release notes, testing functionality, and implementing relevant enhancements. Translate business requirements into technical configuration within Workday using best practices and proper governance. Build and maintain financial and inventory reports, dashboards, and analytics using Workday Report Writer, Composite, and Matrix reports. Serve as a Tier-2/Tier-3 support contact for Finance and Inventory-related system issues. Troubleshoot, resolve, and document issues; partner with internal teams or external Workday support as needed. Maintain configuration documentation, job aids, and knowledge articles for end users. Conduct regular data audits to ensure integrity and alignment across modules. Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Supply Chain, and HR stakeholders to improve system usage and streamline workflows. Partner with IT on integrations between Workday and external systems (e.g., procurement platforms, financial reporting tools, ERP or supply chain systems). Participate in governance processes to ensure configuration aligns with organizational standards and controls. Assist in developing and delivering user training and communication for process or system changes. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Required 3 years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials and/or Inventory Management modules. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and inventory management workflows. Experience in Workday reporting, EIBs, and business process configuration. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a focus on stakeholder partnership and customer service. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Workday certification(s) in Financials, Inventory, or Reporting. Experience with Workday integrations (Studio, Core Connectors, Web Services). Knowledge of procurement, supply chain, or asset management processes. Exposure to Workday Adaptive Planning or similar financial planning tools. Experience in a multi-entity or global organization with complex financial structures.
