Position overview
As one of allnex' Site Managers, you are responsible and accountable for overseeing your plant performance as it relates to safety, cost, quality, waste and overall process reliability, while overseeing employees and fostering effective teams, all in compliance with governmental regulations. We are seeking a proactive individual to serve as a change agent, driving the adoption of new processes/technologies/strategies across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the organization to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Ensure that the company’s Safety, Health, Environment, and Energy (SHEE) policies are strictly followed.
- Implement processes to improve quality performance and customer satisfaction. Establish cost-saving projects and monitor product quality to target zero waste and zero off-spec products.
- Execute local business strategies to achieve operational plans and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure the achievement, maintenance, and continual improvement of procedures and policies in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and any other relevant certifications.
- Develop and manage the manufacturing budget for the site.
- Deploy an effective maintenance program to maximize the efficiency of plant assets.
- Oversee process optimization and new product development initiatives.
Required skills and experience
- Proven experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry within a manufacturing environment is mandatory.
- Deep understanding of chemical processes, production systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams in a high-performance culture.
- Solid project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and monitoring of cost-saving and process optimization initiatives.
- Experience in managing plant operations with a focus on safety, quality, cost control, waste reduction, and equipment reliability.
- WTTP experience is preferred.
- Experience in a union environment highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
- MBA or equivalent training in general management is preferred.
