This includes picking, labeling, scanning, packaging, and organizing medications with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The technician supports daily pharmacy operations, maintains workstation organization, and follows all regulatory and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately and efficiently fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.Pull and pick medications from shelving, prepack racks, and designated storage areas.Apply labels to blister cards and scan all products to ensure accuracy.Notify the pharmacist of any medications or products that do not scan properly.Assist with processing returned medications and recycling/disposal in accordance with established procedures.Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them during low-volume periods.Manually package materials and products as needed.Maintain clean, organized workstation areas and replenish stock supplies.Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.Adhere to all departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.Work overtime, holidays, or weekends as required.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Ability to work at a consistent, moderate speed.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.Active and clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License, issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy.Preferred QualificationsPrevious pharmacy technician experience.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the day.Ability to sit or stand for 7–10 hours per shift.Ability to work extended hours as needed.Finger dexterity required to operate office and pharmacy equipment.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.Visual acuity for reading fine print; close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment required.Ability to hear normal voice-level sounds.Must be able to work safely in a typical pharmacy environment.
