Full-Time Legal Receptionist & Backup Mail Clerk

Allmand Law Firm is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Legal Receptionist & Backup Mail Clerk to join our team full-time in our Hurst, Texas office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping clients, staying organized, and supporting a busy legal practice.
Position Overview
As our Legal Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients—both scheduled and walk-ins. You’ll greet and assist clients, schedule appointments, scan and organize documents, and help clients connect to virtual meetings. You will also assist with payment processing and creation of bank deposits in an accurate and secure manner.
In addition, you will serve as a Backup Mail Clerk, supporting the processing of incoming and outgoing mail, package handling, and maintaining accurate records when needed.
The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Client Support
- Greet all visitors and clients professionally and courteously
- Answer, screen, and route phone calls and messages
- Schedule and confirm client appointments
- Assist clients connecting to virtual appointments
- Scan, route, and organize legal documents
- Collect, receipt, and record client payments
- Prepare and assist with daily deposit creation and reconciliation
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team
Mailroom Support (Backup Role)
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages
- Prepare and meter outgoing mail
- Maintain accurate logs of incoming and outgoing mail as needed
- Operate standard office equipment (copiers, scanners, postage meters, etc.)
- Coordinate with delivery and courier services
- Assist with office supply inventory and organization
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a receptionist, legal assistant, or in a mailroom/office setting preferred
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically with Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe PDF
- Experience handling payments or deposits is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with using office equipment
- High attention to accuracy and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, courteous, and client-focused demeanor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
