JORY is the signature restaurant at The Allison Inn & Spa. Our creative fine dining menus accentuate the native flavors of the Willamette Valley with a strong influence on seasonal, farm-to-table agriculture. Each morning ripe vegetables are picked to be woven into the daily menu plan.

Duties and Responsibilities


Bar Lead – Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, personalized beverage service to guests, ensuring consistency with luxury hospitality standards.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of all beverage offerings, including cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic selections, to confidently guide guest experience.

Leadership & Training

  • Lead onboarding and continuous training of bar team members, ensuring adherence to service standards, product knowledge and technique.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to elevate team performance and consistency.
  • Conduct regular service training for bartenders and servers, including spirits education and cocktail knowledge.
  • Facilitate quarterly bar team meetings to communicate updates, reinforce standard  and drive engagement.

Beverage Program Development

  • Develop and evolve cocktail menus in alignment with seasonality, brand identity, and guest preferences.
  • Design and lead a thoughtful Low ABV and no/low-proof cocktail program, ensuring offerings are innovative, balanced and aligned with guest demand and wellness trends.
  • Create, maintain and update standardized recipe books for JORY and Banquets to ensure consistency across all shifts and team members.
  • Manage cocktail costing and pricing strategy to support financial goals while maintaining quality.
  • Oversee and maintain the Craftable system, ensuring recipes, costing and inventory are accurate and up to date.

Inventory & Ordering

  • Manage bar inventory, including spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic products, ensuring proper stock levels and minimal waste.
  • Create and maintain order guides to streamline purchasing and ensure consistency.
  • Oversee ordering of all bar-related operational supplies (e.g., garnishes, tools, smallwares).
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits, including glassware inventory and replacement needs.

Operations & Organization

  • Ensure bar organization, cleanliness and par levels are consistently maintained to support efficient service.
  • Maintain and oversee all bar equipment, including proper care, cleaning and servicing of the espresso machine.
  • Establish and uphold systems for prep, storage and execution to support high-volume and high-quality service.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and guest experience.

Service Excellence

  • Act as a floor presence during service, supporting bartenders and stepping in as needed to ensure seamless execution.
  • Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism and urgency.
  • Collaborate with restaurant leadership to align bar operations with overall service goals.


Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience bartending in a restaurant, hotel bar or bar.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Current Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) License.
  • State of Oregon Food Handler’s Card.
  • Must have ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all team members.
  • An enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest service.
  • Successfully pass background investigation. 


Working conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking, with occasional bending, reaching, or kneeling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
