The Materials Handler will handle and maintain the flow of materials and products in the manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. They will provide information for recording movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies. Apply now!
Responsibilities:
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory
- Compares information on requisitions, invoices, and shipping notices to material received or issued to verify accuracy of order.
- Generates requests for procurement of material.
- Inspects, accepts, or rejects material received when needed.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Skills of organization and attention to detail preferred.
Physical Demands & Environment:
- Occasionally will have to lift and/or transport items weighing between 10 and 40 pounds.
- Predominately in a stockroom or warehouse environment with frequent exposure to the production floor and engineering lab.
- While on the production floor or engineering lab, employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts and may be required to put on precautionary, protective wear such as goggles.
