About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified Surg Tech in Springfield, Ohio, 45505!

Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist where you’ll function as a member of a cardiac team, expertly assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. You’ll ensure the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) (CST) or equivalent certification such as Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) or NCCT.
• BLS certification.
• 2 years of cardiac (CVOR/heart) surgical technologist experience required. At least 1-2 years of general OR experience preferred.
• Competency and experience with cardiothoracic and vascular procedures including CABG, valve cases, TAVR, carotids, fem-pop and other vascular bypass procedures.
• Experience supporting catheter-based procedures in hybrid rooms and assisting in the cath lab for procedures such as TCAR, EVAR, and TVAR preferred.
• Ability to respond to call within a 30-minute timeframe when assigned to heart call.
• Willingness to float to main OR when needed.
• Previous travel experience preferred.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital.
• Shift Name: Mid Shift.
• Shift Length: 8 or 10 hour shifts.
• Call Requirements: Heart call with approximately 10–15 calls in a 6-week period; 30-minute response time. Employer may arrange a place to sleep if needed for call.
• Case Volume: Approximately 3–4 cardiac cases per week; supports vascular and cath lab cases as needed.
• Floating: Candidate must be willing to float to the main OR when no hearts or vascular cases are scheduled.
