Job Details

• Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Location: 454 McDowell Street, Welch, WV 24801
• Shift: 8-hour shifts (5 days/week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36–40 hours per week
• Pay Rate: $40–$43/hour (Negotiable)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, and other respiratory care equipment.
• Perform respiratory assessments, arterial blood gas (ABG) collection, and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Respond to emergency situations, including rapid response and code blue events.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, therapies, and home care instructions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Active West Virginia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) License
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
