Respiratory Therapist - RRT

Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3x 12-hour nights per week (NOC); includes weekend coverage and one holiday requirement
Hours per Week: 36
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert respiratory care across inpatient settings — manage ventilators and deliver BiPAP/NIV treatments
- Set up and manage ventilators and bubble CPAP for neonatal patients (level 2 nursery, 32 weeks and up)
- Perform ABG sampling and interpret results to guide patient care
- Administer nebulizer treatments and support conscious sedation and cardioversion standby
- Assist with intubations and collaborate closely with physicians and advanced providers
- Document care accurately in EPIC and communicate clearly during handoffs
- Serve as a reliable team member on night shift with 4 RTs on duty during nights
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management and ventilator setup
- Bubble CPAP management for neonates
- BiPAP/NIV setup and management
- ABG drawing and interpretation
- Nebulizer treatments and respiratory procedures
- Familiarity with PB 980, Philips V60 and Respironics Lumis ventilator platforms
- Charting and documentation in EPIC
- Ability to assist with intubation and support critical care interventions

Requirements
- Active WA RT license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (NRP not explicitly required)
- RRT preferred; CRT is acceptable
- NICU experience required and strong level 2 nursery competency (bubble CPAP experience)
- Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required
- Minimum ~2 years of respiratory therapy experience (per job details)
- Familiarity with inpatient acute care workflows and working with adult, pediatric and neonatal patients
