Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a healthcare facility in Omaha, NE for a 13-week assignment. The technologist will perform diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (e.g., PET, SPECT scans)
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment
- Monitor patients during procedures and ensure comfort and safety
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy before submission
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Follow radiation safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
Requirements:
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification (required)
- Active state license (Nebraska, if required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Nuclear Medicine experience
- BLS certification (required)
- Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and imaging procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
