Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tech Assistant for a 13-week contract in Salinas, CA. The ideal candidate will support technical and clinical staff by assisting with equipment, patient care tasks, and daily operational needs to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with routine technical and clinical tasks
- Prepare, clean, and maintain equipment and work areas
- Coordinate and support scheduling for imaging and therapy services
- Transport patients, specimens, and supplies as needed
- Ensure proper stocking of supplies and inventory management
- Support documentation and data entry in electronic systems
- Follow safety, infection control, and compliance protocols
- Provide excellent support to both staff and patients
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient operations
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Tech Assistant or in a similar role
- Two (2) to four (4) years of recent scheduling experience in PT/CT, Angio, CT, US, MRI, and X-ray is required
- Medical terminology knowledge is strongly preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical equipment and healthcare environments
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
