Interventional Radiology Tech

Location: Fayetteville, NC

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4x10 Day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; includes every-other-weekend coverage and required on-call responsibilities (day shift with weekend rotation and call)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and the interventional suite for procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
• Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures by operating and positioning imaging equipment
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with procedural setup and instrument handling
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in Epic charting system
• Collaborate closely with nurses, radiologists, and other team members to deliver coordinated care
• Respond to call and weekend coverage as scheduled to support continuous patient services
• Float within scope when needed to help meet facility needs across like units

Qualifications

• ARRT registration — must be ARRT-registered (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience (explicit requirement)
• Experience charting in Epic is a plus (facility uses Epic)
• Willingness to work every-other-weekend and participate in required on-call coverage
• First-time travel clinicians are accepted — welcome aboard if this is your first assignment
• Pending licenses are not accepted; active, valid licensure required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Candidates living within a 50-mile radius of the main campus (Cape Fear Valley Medical Center) are not accepted for this traveler role

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and equipment
• Proficient with imaging modalities and radiation safety principles
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record charting
• Excellent aseptic and sterile technique
• Ability to prioritize and adapt in a Level III trauma / teaching hospital setting
• Good communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
