About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified Echo Tech in Petersburg, Virginia, 23805!

Join our team as an Echo Ultrasound Tech / Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist and use your expertise to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, compassionately prepare patients for echocardiogram procedures, and produce detailed images of the heart for interpretation by healthcare teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification required.
• BLS certification required prior to direct patient care.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer required.
• Experience performing Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE), Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), and stress echo studies required.
• Experience with pediatric studies, Definity contrast, and bubble studies required.
• Experience in Cardiac Stress Lab or equivalent environment, including NICU through geriatric patient populations required.
• Ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams and to prepare and monitor patients during procedures.
• Preferred: Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record and PACS.
• Preferred: Associate degree in applied health science with concentration in cardiovascular technology or related field.

Assignment Details:

• Facility Type: Hospital.
• Shift Name: Nights.
• Schedule: 8-hour evening shift, approximately 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
• On-call and weekend requirements: 1–2 call days per week and every 4th weekend.
• Typical studies per shift: 7–8 studies.
• Patient population: NICU through geriatrics.
• Float requirement: Candidates should be prepared to work within hospital-based departments and cover unit needs as assigned.
