Position Summary:
We are looking for a visionary VP of Data Quality Management to architect and execute Allied World’s enterprise data quality and governance initiatives. This role is perfect for a builder who thrives on setting and elevating data quality standards, implementing state-of-the-art Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, and enabling business growth through data-driven strategy.
The successful candidate will serve as a key architect of Allied World's data-driven transformation, establishing foundational frameworks that enable sustainable growth, operational efficiency, competitive advantage, and will be reporting to Chief Data Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Development
Develop and execute comprehensive enterprise roadmap for data quality, completeness, and accuracy across all critical business domains with measurable KPIs and executive-level reporting
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
Secure senior leadership buy-in and collaborate with business unit leaders to align data quality initiatives with revenue generation and operational efficiency goals
Data Governance & Quality Framework
Define comprehensive data quality metrics, tolerance thresholds, and lead cross-functional teams in deploying automated monitoring systems with continuous improvement processes
Metadata Management & Documentation
Implement enterprise-wide metadata management, data lineage tracking, and comprehensive cataloging tools to enable self-service analytics and data discovery
Organizational Development & Education
Design data governance organizational frameworks with clear accountability and deliver comprehensive training programs to promote data-driven culture across the enterprise
Oversight & Compliance Management
Establish robust governance oversight mechanisms including regular assessments, audits, and executive reporting through interactive dashboards and strategic metrics
Technology Implementation & Optimization
Implement and optimize Master Data Management (MDM) platforms and leverage advanced data quality tools (Collibra, Informatica, Talend) to drive measurable improvements in data accuracy

Compensation
The below annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below he listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but now limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment. Base salary represents one compensation of Allied World comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.
$185,000 - $195,000
Professional Experience / Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years in data quality management/data governance (preferably in P&C insurance)
Scale: Success in large-scale, complex data governance initiatives
Leadership: Led enterprise-wide data transformation with measurable impact
Stakeholder Management: Secured executive buy-in and influenced strategic priorities
Communication: Exceptional presentation skills; translate technical concepts for business audiences
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of enterprise data quality tools, frameworks, and MDM
Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL, Python, and data analysis tools; strong strategic thinker
Analytical Ability: Developed and implemented data-driven solutions for complex challenges
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science, Data & Analytics or related field.
