Light Industrial Worker

Allied Wire & Cable, a GCG company is seeking an energetic and reliable Picking Associate to join our 2nd shift team in Collegeville, PA. Are you looking to take your order picking and warehouse skills to the next level? If so, AWC may be the right fit for you!

In this position you will be responsible for operating order picking equipment to correctly pick material for each order and distribute to the appropriate department for processing.

What will you do:

• Responsible for performing daily set-up and operation of assigned equipment
• Choose the most appropriate material from inventory to be processed according to customer specific requirements
• Operate hand-held scan gun to accurately scan and move material onto the production floor
• Deliver material to correct location for further processing
• Safely operate forklift, order picker, walkie-rider and pallet jacks throughout the warehouse
• Properly put away and scan all material going back to stock from various areas of the warehouse
• Notify picking lead/manager of any material discrepancies, unclear comments, etc.
• Responsible for scanning material to current locations, organizing bins and materials by color and size

What will you bring:

• Previous warehouse picking experience
• Previous experience operating picking equipment, forklift, pallet jack, RF Scanner, Order Picker
• Ability to prioritize order tickets
• Basic Mathematical and Computer skills
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
