Job Summary
The Delivery Driver will move parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
- Communicates efficiently and practices customer courtesy when out on location.
- Abides by customers rules and regulations when on location.
- Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have at least 3 years delivery driving experience.
- Must have a Class A CDL license
- Must be able to DOT Physical, Background & Motor Vehicle Checks, and Drug Screen
- Clean Shaven to meet customer sites dress codes
- Remain flexible for On-Call Shifts
Preferred Experience & Aptitude
- Forklift Experience
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to pull and back with goose neck and bumper mount trailers
- Proper licensing on the vehicle that is being driven
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting and driving at a time.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
- Must be able to drive in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
