Job Description

As a Security Officer Welcome Center in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy education location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome students, staff, and visitors, support access control and badging, and help address security-related concerns with professionalism and care. This stationary role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, communication, and integrity while contributing to a welcoming environment through a reliable, people-first approach.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at an educational location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized entry through consistent lobby and reception area presence.
• Respond to incidents, questions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate campus and/or emergency resources when needed.
• Document visitor activity, report security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal team members.
• Support daily front desk operations by answering routine inquiries, issuing directions, and following post orders related to security-related activities and emergency response.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
