As a Security Officer Walking Patrol in Sarasota, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring a caring, reliable approach, work as part of a team, and act with integrity while serving the public in a professional environment.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas while following post orders, reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior in accordance with site procedures.
• Support daily operations by providing directions, answering general questions, and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner consistent with Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
