Security Officer - Visitor Assistance Patrol

As a Security Officer - Visitor Assistance Patrol in Garden City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a high-end retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support store teams by communicating clearly, assisting guests with professionalism, and reporting concerns promptly. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and store associates by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, back-of-house areas, entrances, and exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for potential loss prevention concerns, then communicate observations to store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and unusual activity, and maintain clear communication with the on-site team using radios, phones, and/or other approved systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Loss Prevention is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
