As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher-education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks as needed, communicate clearly with staff, students, and visitors, and document observations and reports. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of campus buildings, residence halls, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, disturbances, and medical calls until additional resources arrive.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and exterior spaces for unusual conditions, reporting concerns promptly and completing required documentation such as shift logs and incident reports.
• Assist with security-related customer requests such as providing directions, escorting authorized persons when assigned, and coordinating with campus partners and/or local public services as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
