As a Security Officer Unarmed Site Watch in Hartford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.62 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following location policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, transit access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor public areas and help manage orderly movement of visitors, employees, and/or passengers while addressing questions, providing directions, and reporting security-related concerns.
• Observe and report conditions at a government location, including access control issues, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, while following post orders and applicable procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
