Security Officer - Unarmed Site Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Patrol in Hanahan, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, respond to requests, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public services as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor management and delivery routing per site guidelines.
• Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate notable conditions to supervisors and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
