Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Rounds

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Rounds in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and guests, assist with directions and concerns, and communicate clearly with site contacts. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and other security-related policies, and/or assisting with emergency response activities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, garages, loading docks, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify maintenance, lighting, and access concerns.
• Monitor and respond to alarms, calls for service, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and public emergency services as directed.
• Control access at designated points, verify credentials when required, and manage visitor and delivery traffic in accordance with site rules and post orders.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors, property staff, and oncoming shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
