Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Saint Helena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic food and beverage location. Your presence and attention will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving position, requiring you to navigate the property as you interact with employees and visitors, respond to alarms, and support access control measures. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues within the food and beverage production environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of all persons on the premises.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
• Support access control procedures, including verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Assist with emergency procedures, including evacuation or shelter-in-place protocols, as directed by Allied Universal and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
