Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rounds

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to routine needs as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of halls, entrances, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and common areas, assist with wayfinding, and help manage visitor flow in accordance with site rules and privacy expectations.
• Complete routine reports and required documentation, communicate notable activity to the appropriate personnel, and support investigations of incidents when requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• This hospital site requires vaccines.
• Applicants must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
