Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Full-Time in Santa Rosa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and professional customer service. You will document observations and respond to routine requests while supporting Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in everything you do.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and timely notification to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
• Control access by observing and documenting foot and vehicle traffic, directing visitors to appropriate check-in points, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts per site-specific procedures.
• Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 years of security experience.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
• Be comfortable using computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
