As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Examiner in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic tech location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout assigned areas. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, office spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unusual activity, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations in accordance with site protocols.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with visitor processing, answering questions, and providing clear directions while following Allied Universal standards and post instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
