Security Officer - Unarmed Mobile Rounds

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mobile Rounds in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government cultural location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and/or radio calls, and deliver courteous guidance to guests and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, public spaces, offices, loading and service areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or damage to property.
• Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor screening and crowd flow during peak attendance and special events.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, fire and/or alarm activations, and requests for assistance from staff and visitors.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observed hazards in daily activity logs and reports, and communicate timely updates to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and/or public agency partners as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
