Security Officer - Unarmed Mall Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mall Patrol in North East, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will perform routine patrols, interact with guests, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding our company's values of teamwork, integrity, and people-first culture. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents within the retail environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, guests, and Allied Universal management.
• Support access control measures and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors within the retail or mall location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
